Joseph Charles Humphreys passed away March 30, 2017 after health complications. He was born on July 4, 1936 to Cleon Orval Humphreys and Leah Jorgensen Humphreys. He was raised in Millville Utah and graduated from South Cache High School in 1954; he later on met the love of his life Jane Lamay Humphreys at Utah State University and got married in 1961 and was blessed with 6 beautiful children Kirk, Chad, Joseph, Roxane, Pauline and Paulette. They have 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. J.C. spent his career working in the Ashley National Forest; he spent 10 years in the Granddaddy Lake Basin as a wilderness forest technician. His remaining years he worked for the forest service maintaining campgrounds in the Ashley Forest. J.C. enjoyed shoeing horses and spent many years doing so for people all over the Uintah Basin, he loves sharing his skills with anyone who was willing and patient enough to learn from him.
J.C. is survived by his wife of 55 years, his 5 children as well as his brother; Robert (Bob) Humphreys, Kevin Humphreys, and his sister Lynette Humphreys (Edwards) He is proceeded in death by his parents, Sister Janette Humphreys (Bankhead), Marice Humphreys (Nordick), Dale Humphreys as well as his Son Joseph, grandson Josh Issacson, Great Granddaughter Zaya, and son-in-law Robert Wold.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Tabiona L.D.S Ward from 10:00AM -12:00PM. Interment will be at the Tabiona City Cemetery.
