Jose "Joe" Layson Meneses
January 12, 1942 — March 20, 2018
Jose Layson Meneses, known to friends as "Joe" and also known to family as Bapang Pepe, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2018, at the age of 76 years.
A native of Angeles, Pampanga Philippines. Joe attended Lourdes Elementary School, Republic Central College High School and Holy Angel College.
On October 1, 1982 Joe began his Civil Service Career with The Office of the Mayor in Angeles, Pampanga Philippines and holds a position of Administrative Aide IV at the City Administrator's Office. He retired from the service on January 12, 2007.
Joe immigrated to the United States of America in July 2008, and became a US citizen on October 12, 2016.
He took pride of his job at Main Street Pizza and Noodles in Park City, where he met a lot of friends.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carmen Estrada Meneses, sons Ronnie (Cleo), Peter, Allan (Lani), Angel (Jasmin), Joey (Cath), daughters Mary (Mark Paul), Chie (Joseph Baking) and Jing(Francis Quiazon). Grandchildren RenRen, LaeLae, Reinier, Russell, RR, Camille, Noney, Bert, Kim, Jam, Estelle, Eimee, Rain, Lean, CJ, Dominic, Coleen, Cheska, Ashley (deceased), Arkin, Kobe, Niko and Nathan.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be held at 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Saturday, March 24th and a Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, March 25th at 12: noon to 2:00 pm, at the Heber Valley Funeral Home, 288 N Main St, Heber City, UT 84032, Phone number (435) 654-5458.
