Jose Jesus Duran

Jose Jesus Duran passed on September 30th, 2021 at the age of 50 after a courageous battle with cancer for 13 years. He was surrounded by loved ones at home. Despite the pain, he was strong and brave until the end.

He was born on April 3rd, 1971 in Elko, NV to Elisenda Bocanegra and Jose Duran. He married the love of his life Elizabeth Palacios on December 11th 2004.

Jose was was genuine, caring, warm and an extremely loved and adored husband, father, grandfather, sibling and son. He grew up and graduated high school in Elko, NV as the student body president as well as participating in many sports and other curricular including band, chorus & drama. He was employed at Peak Alarm for over 25 years and held many roles in his time with the company. He was very well liked by his colleagues and customers. In his free time he enjoyed biking, watching sports and supporting his teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Utah Jazz and most importantly spending quality time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Duran, his parents and siblings Elisenda, Jose, Mavy and Alex. His children Jefferson & Criz, Karen & Ryan, Jasmine and Love and his grandchildren Nikko, Kaly, Ashton and Winter. He is Preceded in death by his grandparents Ignacio Duran and Guadalupe De La Rosa, Trinidad Bocanegra
and Asuncion Ponce.

Funeral Services will be held on the following dates:
Friday, October 8th 6:00pm-8:00pm
Saturday, October 9th 6:00pm-10:00pm (Mass + Celebration of Life)
Sunday, October 10th, 6:00pm-8:00pm
