Joan Beth Schuller

September 19, 1941 — August 23, 2024

Joan Beth Schuller passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the age of 82.

Joan was born on September 19, 1941, in Heber, Utah to Reed and Elizabeth Lewis. She later moved to Salt Lake City, where she married Bud Earl Bronson, who passed away in February of 1968. A few years later, she married William “Bill” R. Schuller.

Joan is survived by her three children: Earl Bronson (Jan), Terry Bronson (Michelle), and Cory Sue Christensen (Rick); 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; her brother, Steven Lewis (Donna); and many nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her father and mother, her two brothers, Gary Lewis and Roy Lewis, and her husband William Schuller.

Joan worked for Litton Guidance and Control Systems for 32 years where she made many lifetime friends. She retired in 2001. Joan spent many weekends with her family camping and enjoying the outdoors. She loved her grandchildren, and if you were one of them, you could expect to be spoiled. Her favorite moments were when all her family was together, just hanging out.

She wasn’t a big fan of cooking except during Thanksgiving, but when that time came, she pulled out all the stops to prepare an amazing meal for the whole family. Many of her dishes became family traditions to this day.

Everyone that knew Joan knew that she loved Christmas, and it showed in her decorating and gift-giving. She also loved golfing with her friends and listening to Oldie’s Country music, and she never hesitated to get up and dance if you played the song “Jambalaya” by Hank Williams. We all miss those fun days we had with our mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma and friend.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Heber City Cemetery.
