Jimmy L. Greer, age 93, died July 4, 2025 in Heber City, Utah.

He was born December 4, 1931 in Charleston, Utah to Carl D. and Leda Abegglin Greer.

He married Marie Thomas on January 21, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a graduate of Wasatch High School. He attended the University of Utah. Jimmy served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Jimmy owned and operated the Greer Oil Co. and gas station for 30 years. It was a favorite local hang out for teens when dragging main and where you could find your friends hanging out there. He built the first car wash in town in 1967 where you could wash your car for 25 cents. Anyone who grew up in Heber will remember the Greer gas station fondly. He sold the business and retired in 1983 to be with his family.

His children will remember him well for teaching them the value of hard work, his laughter and the value of a dollar. Also, all the great times and holidays gathering at his and Marie's house.

Jimmy is survived by children, Jimmy Lynn and Diann Greer, Carla and Danny Webb of Acworth Georgia, Thomas and Burlene Greer; and 11 Grandchildren; and many Great-Grandchildren. Also, his brother and sister-in-Law, Don and Karaan Thomas of St. George; nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved so much.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Thomas Greer; his parents, Carl and Leda Greer; sister Gerry Ure and brother-in-law Fred Ure.

Graveside services will be held July 11th 2025, 11:15 AM at the Midway Cemetery at 600 W. 500 S, Midway, Utah 84049
