It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jillene Kaye Workman Sewell, who passed away on 2/9/2023 in Draper Utah. Jill was born on 8/20/1960 in Rangeley Colorado and lived a selfless life filled with love, laughter, and joy.
Jill was a kind and loving person who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her infectious smile, warm embrace, and unwavering strength inspired those around her and left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
In this difficult time, we remember Jill and celebrate her life and legacy.
Jill is survived by her mother Wanda Joyce Smith, her son Benjamin Aaron Sewell (Candice Itokazu Sewell) and daughter Kourtney Angelene Sewell, their father Benjamin Ray Sewell, her sister Diane Bartlet, brother Blair Workman (Karla), two grandchildren Isabelle Pearl Sewell and Benjamin Aaron Sewell Jr., aunts, uncles and countless cousins.
Jill was predeceased by her father Carl John Workman and her sisters Barbara Workman, Michelle Kilfoyle, and Brenda Kirk.
Jill graduated from Brighton High School in 1978 with honors. Soon after graduation she began work with Farmers insurance. She moved into loan administration and worked for many years. In 2001 she received her Bachelors degree in Business Management from Salt Lake Community College, where she was also honored as the "student of the year". She has since continued her success as a respected loan administration specialist.
Jill enjoyed skiing, boating, golfing, horticulture, cooking, scrapbooking, traveling, and spending time with family. She especially loved playing with her grandkids Izzy and Benji.
Jill was elegant and outspoken. She engaged in deep and meaningful conversation, and always shared her truth. She loved with all her heart, and was always there when you needed. She was always so happy, even during hard times. She was incredibly strong and independent. God was central to her being, and she always had a strong spirit. She never held back her love, and she never let you leave without leftovers. "Need a bag?"
A public viewing will be held at 10am, with funeral services starting at 12pm, at Heber Valley Funeral Home, 288 N Main St, Heber City, UT 84032 on Thursday February 16, 2023. Then we will proceed to Park City Cemetery, 1300 Kearns Blvd, Park City, UT 84060. To stream the services, please visit

Jill was taken before her time and will be missed by everyone who knew her. We know she is reunited with her father Carl, the "chicken man", and sisters. Even though she is no longer with us, we will always feel the light and love from her beautiful heart.
