Jeneal Young

JeNeal Henderson Young, 79, of Wallsburg, Utah, passed away on March 23, 2023 of natural causes. She is now reunited with her sweetheart, Donald, who passed away over three years prior and who she has dearly missed. JeNeal was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

JeNeal was born on June 24, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the middle child of three girls and had fiery, red hair from the day she was born. JeNeal grew up in the Salt Lake area and graduated from West High School. Afterwards, she worked at the Wainright restaurant downtown until she met the love of her life, Donald John Young, on a blind date; Donald and JeNeal were married on October 13, 1967 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. JeNeal spent most of her life keeping the household running, raising her four children, and being by her husband's side. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and she loved spending time with them, no matter what they were doing. JeNeal was a joy to be around, and it didn’t take much to get her laughing…and what a memorable laugh it was.

JeNeal was preceded in death by her husband, Donald John Young, and her parents, Louis Benson Henderson and Irene Luker Henderson. JeNeal is survived by two daughters, Amy Young of Orem, Utah and Kris Young of Wallsburg, Utah, and two sons, Shane Young of Wallsburg, Utah and Eric (Sommer) Young of West Jordan, Utah. JeNeal leaves behind three grandchildren, Clara, Gracie, and Bryce, who meant the world to their Grandma Young. JeNeal also leaves her older sister, LeAnne Hepworth, and her younger sister, Janet Henderson. JeNeal will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

We would like to express gratitude to the loving staff at Heber Valley Assisted Living who have watched over JeNeal the past three years. We are also thankful to Tiffany Coleman at Tender Care, who looked over JeNeal in her last days.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she attended in Wallsburg, located at 494 West Main Canyon Road. A funeral service will follow the viewing at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Wallsburg Cemetery directly after the funeral service.
