Jean Ryan Moseley passed away October 10, 2014. Jean grew up in the Englewood and Denver, Colorado area. She went to, and graduated from, Englewood High School and it was during her high school years that her and Tom "caught each other's eye." Jean studies at Denver University and then on to the Nursing Program at Children's Hospital in Denver. Her and Tom dated during these years and married on December 16th, 1944.
After Tom served as Captain in the Army Core of Engineers, they moved back to Golden, Colorado where Rebecca was born. Later they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where their son Craig was born.
Finding the climate not to their liking they returned to the mountains of Colorado where Tom's career continued. Their lives were filled with weekends in the mountains; skiing in the winters and then climbing, hiking and camping in the summer months.
Jean's life was filled with child rearing and serving in many capacities in the community, including chairman of many of these organization, such as Girl Scouts of America, Utah Symphony Guild, Women's Association of Mining Engineers and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts among others.
During these years skiing and traveling were enjoyed by both of them. Jean enjoyed tournament golf and spending time and traveling with family.
She is survived by her children, Craig William Moseley and Rebecca Moseley Felton, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A reception will be held for friends and family at The Town Club, South Temple, Salt Lake City, on October 25th from 4:00-6:00pm. A memorial service will be held in Golden, Colorado, November 1st.
