Janet Tinsley Barski

January 8, 1950 — March 6, 2023

Janet Tinsley Barski passed away on March 6, 2023. She was born and reared in Amory, MS. Upon high school graduation, she attended the University of Mississippi School of Business. She later graduated from Mississippi College, a private Christian University with a B.S. degree in Nursing.

She worked at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson with a critical care background. Her last position there was Transplant Nurse Coordinator with the Department of Surgery. She also held positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, as well as, the University of Utah.

Ms. Barski and her beloved husband have been calling Utah home for more than two decades. She is survived by her husband, Don, of Heber, UT, stepdaughter, Shelley Hickox (Keith) of Coeur d" Alene, ID, stepson, Brandon (Tracy) of Colorado Springs, CO, her sister, Dianne Prickett of Sarasota, FL brother, Tim Tinsley of Memphis, TN, nephew, John Heidel of Sandy Hook, VA, and nephew, Jeff Heidel of Olmstead Township, OH.

There will be a private graveside burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Samaritan's Purse, Utah Food Bank, or Heber Paws for life.
