James F Paul

June 27, 1964 — January 4, 2017

Jim Paul passed away peacefully, although unexpectedly on Wednesday January 4, 2017. Jim was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved shortly there after to Lodi, CA where his mother Sarah and father Jim raised him and his four siblings. From his earliest days he always wanted to entertain, make people laugh and be happy. His family gave him a great love of the outdoors and travel, especially skiing in Bear Valley and wake boarding on the Delta. Jim attended his schooling in Lodi and worked for Wallace printing company until its closing in 2002. Jim was married to Jackie Coenen with whom he had daughter Emily. When Wallace closed, Jim took Emily on an extended vacation which ended at his mothers home in Oakley, UT. They fell in love with the area, went home, packed up and moved to Utah. Shortly after moving Jim met and married Casey Hazelrigg. He continued his love of skiing, entertaining and discovered his new loves of quad riding and snowmobiling. This was a man who never missed an opportunity to jump into ANY body of water, whether canal or ocean. Jim worked for Jan's the entire time he lived in Utah and had a new extended family with all the coworkers who loved and will miss him.

Jim is preceded by his father James Paul, sister Kim Matwijiw, and father-in-law Al Hazelrigg. Survived by wife Casey Paul, daughter Emily Paul, mother Sarah Paul, brother Benjamin Paul, sister Karen Paul (nephew Lance, niece Lindsey and husband Garrett Colli), sister Helen Iturraran (nephew's Thomas, Kyle and niece Sydney) and too many friends who are considered extended family to mention them all. You know who you are and that Jim loved you!

Celebration of Life will be held at the Red Barn in Oakley on Saturday, January 14th and 2:00 pm. Condolences may be shared online at www.probstfamilyfunerals.com
