It is with the deepest regret we announce that our beloved brother and son, Jake, died tragically in a car accident on November 14th, 2022, three weeks before his 30th birthday.
Jacob Michael Jones was born on December 4th, 1992, in Provo, Utah. He grew up in his ancestral home of Midway, Utah, and lived here most of his life. Later on, he lived in Austin, Texas, and most recently, in Salt Lake City. Jake frequently travelled all over the United States, and spent time in Sweden, Iceland, France, and more.
Jake was a man of diverse talents. He was a born entrepreneur. He founded his lawn care company, Jones Lawns, as a teenager, and had multiple other business ventures underway, including a health and wellness center and health-supplement supply company. Jake was a skilled and passionate pianist, singer, and actor. He had lead roles in numerous plays and musicals, and starred in Mozart’s comic opera, "Cosi fan tutte". Jake was an intensely curious explorer of life. Some of his passions and interests were philosophy, psychology, art, music, food, fashion, festivals, self-improvement, and having fun.
Jake is preceded in death by his grandparents, Emily and Glen Zenger, and his grandfather Hillery Jones. Jake is survived by his grandmother Althea; his mother and father, Laraine Zenger and Brian Jones; his siblings Thomas, Adam, and Elizabeth; his nephew Dale, and his niece Adelaide.
Jake loved people. He inspired, supported, and edified everyone around him. Please join us in celebrating his extraordinary life:
