From the moment of my birth, Irma Dina Lausmann served as my mother, teacher and friend.
This precious woman finally closed her loving eyes on this world on 12/02/2023, at the age of 89.
She was born in Hannover, Germany on September 25, 1934, and grew up in a "family of 5 kids" during WWII. After immigrating to the USA she was married in Salt Lake City, UT on September 14, 1956 to Hans Oskar Lausmann, to whom she was engaged in Germany.
Irma was proud to have earned a degree in Tailoring. This was quite an accomplishment during those times, and a field that was predominantly filled by men. She loved making suits for Hans from scratch with her own handmade patterns. She also had a knack for making things special at holidays, arranging flowers, and was always up for family adventures into the mountains for a picnic. She was independent and very proud to have become a US Citizen.
She is survived by her daughter Evelyn Terranova and Evelyn's partner Nick Burns, her sister Edith Rosenquest, and sister-in-law Frauke Rose, and their respective families.
She is preceded in death by her husband Hans Oskar Lausmann, her sister Osel Flegel, her brother Hans Rose, and her younger brother Heinz Rose.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
