Our beloved Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Inez Price Horner 94 years old passed away peacefully Saturday October 19, 2024. She was born August 28, 1930 to H. Fred and Ruby Bagley Price in Charleston Utah. Inez graduated from Wasatch High School. She Married Don Nile Horner on March 22, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She and Don worked together to build their Farm Implement business in the Heber Valley. They built strong relationships and were well respected throughout the community. Inez was a true disciple of Christ. She was a valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. She loved working in the Provo Temple with her husband Don.
She found the most joy in service. She loved preparing and taking meals for others. She was an amazing homemaker and a wonderful cook. Pies were her specialty. She was a beautiful seamstress. Inez is known for the thousands of quilts she perfectly hand stitched and generously shared with others. She also enjoyed making hand crochet baby blankets.
She is survived by her three children: Carol Michele (Leo) Smith, Twin Falls Idaho; Phyllis (Steve) Shelton, Midway Utah; and Nile Don (Ann) Horner, Heber Utah; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and sisters: Edna Bird, Arizona; Leona Barnard, Idaho; and Louise Wilding, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Don Horner; Parents, H. Fred and Ruby Price; brothers J. Fred and Russell Price; and sisters Verna Huffaker and Clara Holmes.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday October 25, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 6th Ward Chapel, 1365 East Center Street, Heber City, Utah.
Viewing on Thursday October 24, from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM and Friday October 25, from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 6th Ward Building.
Interment will follow the services in the Heber Cemetery.
