Harold “Hank” Lurtsema, 79, of Heber City, Utah, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a life well-lived. His sunrise was December 6, 1941, and sunset was during the early morning hours of October 27, 2021. Hank grew up in Southern California, graduating from Verdugo Hills High School, in Tujunga, California. He moved with his family to Heber in 1977, a town he loved and never left.
Hank is predeceased by his father, Harold Ernest Lurtsema, and his mother, Ethyl Nadean Lurtsema. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Janice; his brother Hollie Lurtsema, his sister Marilyn Espenschied; and his children Mark, Daniel, Jeannie, Gary, Chad, and Shawn, along with 28 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Hank was a private man with deep love and commitment for his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.
A viewing to be held at the Sixth Ward in Heber followed by a graveside service at the Heber Cemetery on October 30, 2021.
