Glenn Leverle (Verle) Connary

Glenn LeVerle (Verle) Connary passed away May 7, 2022,peacefully in the beautiful log home he built. He suffered from congestive heart failure. He was born on January 19, 1940, to Mary Reid and Glenn LeVerle Connary Sr. Verle was an EMT for Salt Lake City Fire Department for 30years. He enjoyed the comradery of his fellow fighters. They were always pulling pranks on one another. He built and raced stockcars at the fairgrounds. This was where he fine-tuned the art of auto mechanics. He built three different race cars. He bought a school bus and converted it into a motor home. He put a big fast motor in it and painted it bright orange. He LOVED passing everyone on steep inclines (even pulling a boat). In the summers, we spent a lot of time at Lake Powell. He would load up the boats with kids, camping gear and fuel. He made sure to find the best camping spot. He learned how to build fiber glass boats. His boats were also fast. He raced motorcycles as well. After retirement, he drove a school bus for Wasatch County School District. The special needs kids were his favorite.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Julia Freeman Connary, his son Chad Connary, and a daughter, Kellie Ann Tuiono (Ula), 6 grandchildren, 3 great children and 4 more great-grand baby’s due within weeks of each other. Preceded in death by his parents Glenn LeVerle Connary Sr, Mary Connary and brothers-in-law John Baxter and John Freeman.
A viewing will be held on Monday, May 16, 2022, from 6:00PM – 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 9:00AM – 10:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at the Heber East Stake Center, 2395 South Mill Road, Heber City, Utah 84032. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church, with the graveside service taking place at 3:30 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah84092.
