Ellen died almost 19 years ago, on January 31, 2007.
Glade married Paula Anderson on July 9, 2010. He loved and appreciated a close relationship with Paula’s children: Stephen Anderson (Kristin), Heber City, UT; and Chris Anderson, Orem, UT. Paula died on September 27, 2024.
Dad loved Heber. He chose to build his dental practice here and spent his whole professional career serving the people of Wasatch County and Summit County, as well as Bart the bear on a ranch up in Daniels. His excellent handiwork still protects teeth to this day. His commitment to providing a pleasant and caring dental experience drew patients from all over the mountain west.
Dad loved the LDS Church. His faith was unwavering and guided his journey always. He enjoyed many callings, but perhaps none so much as the calling he felt to take groups of young people to hike the narrows of Escalante and explore the wonders of Lake Powell. His generous nature and genuine curiosity led to many adventures on mountain roads, and more than a few precarious situations. His gratitude for beauty accompanied every experience and his courage helped him navigate many challenges.
To Glade, who taught us the importance of organization, the power of poetry, an appreciation for adventure and beauty, and how to cook great ribs. We love you and wish you godspeed on this next journey. Rest easy, Dad.
Glade is survived by his daughters, his second sons, 17 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, 11:00 am MST, in the Heber 5th Ward, 325 East 500 North, Heber, UT.
