Glade Bernell Luke was born in Daniel, Utah, on October 30, 1940 to Otto Bernell Luke & Nola Smith. He passed away, December 24, 2017 surrounded by his family. Glade married Darlene Casper in the Manti Utah Temple on August 13, 1965. To their family, they welcomed 6 children: Stephanie (Steve) Hansen; Kevin (Trisha) Luke; Bruce (Natalie) Luke; Brian (Kristy) Luke; Patricia (Cory) Liles; Angela (Jeff) Smith and 20 grandkids and 1 great-grandson.
Glade loved family & everything about family- camping, picnics, get-togethers & vacations. He loved to talk with people and to tease. He liked to watch sports and he was an avid BYU & Jazz Fan. He spent a lot of time serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including 5 Bishoprics & High Council. His dream job was owning his own little variety store- Glades Variety Store on Main Street in Heber City. He also greatly enjoyed those whom he worked with as a Church employee.
Survived by his wife, Darlene, all six children & grandchildren. His brother Lynn (Linda) Luke, his sisters: Marsha (Tom) Morrison, and Karen (Maurice) Emerson.
The Memorial Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Daniel 1st Ward Building located at 2285 So. Daniel Road, Heber City, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday, December 28 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. & also on Friday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 12:00. Interment will immediately follow at the Heber City, Utah Cemetery.
