Gerardo Bernal passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, in his home in Park City, Utah surrounded by his loving family.
Gerardo was born on June 7, 1950, in El Paso, Texas. Eventually, he met his loving wife Velia Reyes Bernal, and had their son Erik.
Over 50 years of Gerardo’s life was dedicated to aerospace engineering. He designed many projects for the companies he worked for and worked hard to always provide for his family. Gerardo was well known for his loving kindness and generosity. Much of his time was spent serving those around him. He loved books, especially The Bible. Gerardo found much joy in spreading the word of Jesus Christ to others. Gerardo did all of this and more while being a bi-lateral amputee.
He is survived by his loving wife Velia, and his son Erik.
A Celebration of Life for Gerardo will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Canyons Church at 1700 East Fort Union Boulevard, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
