Garth T. Crofts, returned home to his Father in heaven on January 30, 2022, in Woodland Utah. Garth was born October 6, 1934 in St. George, Utah to Edward Arlos Crofts and Mary T. Crofts. He married LaVon Brown June 24, 1960, later divorced, then married Patty Jones September 26, 1987.
He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the Swiss Austrian mission field. He also served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. Dad learned to drive trucks at an early age hauling logs for his dad. He was a long-haul trucker most of his life and drove over 4 million miles in his career. He had a beautiful tenor voice and sang with several choirs and gave many solo performances at funerals and homecomings.
Dad loved to fish and always had a story to tell. He loved going on road trips to Elko, NV., and Eagle Mountain to see his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his shop and building things out of wood. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his family.
Survived by his son Kreg (Cynthia) Crofts of Woodland, UT, daughter Kaelynn (Scott) Pryor of Ogden, UT, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Step-children Stephanie (Don) Jones, Larry (Sareah) Jones, Julie Jones and Paige (Laddie) Edwards. Sister Katharine Edwards, brother Steve Crofts, brother Larry Crofts and brother Sylvan Crofts.
Preceded in death by wife Patty J. Crofts, his mother and father, two brothers and one sister, grandson Karl Lee Crofts and his granddaughter Melisa Sue Pryor.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the LDS Ward House located at 2225 West 620 North, Provo, UT 84601, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
