Frances Arlene Crocheron Anderson

November 17, 1936 — April 22, 2023

Frances Arlene Crocheron Anderson, an amazing mother of five, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2023, at the age of 86. Born on November 17, 1936, in Tooele, Utah. Arlene lived a life full of love, dedication, and devotion to her family, friends, and faith.

Arlene was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a leader of women, serving untiringly in various assignments throughout her life, both in her community and in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. From the beginning of her life, she has been a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and her unwavering devotion to her beliefs was an inspiration to all who knew her, and ripples throughout her family's lives.

Arlene was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Reg Anderson, with whom she shared a love that was truly one-of-a-kind. They were married on August 9, 1957, in Salt Lake City. Reg and Arlene knew each other as childhood friends and as high school sweethearts in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City, and her daily journal documents the beautiful growing moments of this relationship.

They moved to Maryland for a short time and then moved to Dallas, Texas in 1964, where they raised their 5 children. Throughout the 80’s and 90’s, Arlene was an office manager for LDS Social Services, as Reg was running his company Tetradyne, and then later as he became a financial advisor with Ameriprise.

Arlene's love of music was a defining aspect of her life. She taught piano for years in Dallas, TX, and played organ for decades in the church. Her musicianship touched the hearts of many, and her talent brought joy and inspiration to all who heard her play.

Arlene and Reg moved back to Utah in 2007, and they built a cabin home in Timber Lakes, Heber City, Utah. It was here that Arlene and Reg found peace and happiness, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the love of her family. They especially loved the beautiful snow and having family come play in their winter wonderland.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Reg, her five children Mike Anderson (and spouse Carmie), Cheryl Fennell (and Ron), Pam Nophsker (and Ted), John Anderson (and Marlo), and Stephen Anderson (and Dori), and their amazing children. Also, her three siblings, Deanna Crocheron Pappas, Kenneth Crocheron, and Barbara Crocheron Dutson.

Arlene was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was the center of her life. She leaves behind 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to have known her.

Arlene's legacy of love, faith, and dedication to her family and her beliefs will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but her memory will be cherished forever, and her example and presence will echo throughout eternity. She wasn’t perfect, but almost. She never said a negative remark about anybody, even when it was deserved. She certainly exemplified a poise and grace that made the world a better place. We love you so much, Arlene Anderson.
