Fern Graham Sabey

Fern Graham Sabey, 98, of Wallsburg, Utah, was born on April 28, 1917 in Park City, Utah to Alice Clegg and James Graham. She passed away peacefully March 23, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Fern was born in Park City but resided in Wallsburg all of her life. She married her sweetheart Elmo Davis Sabey January 24, 1935. He passed away December 4, 1984. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on December 2, 1963.
Fern was a devoted homemaker and was a friend to all. Anyone coming to her home to visit would not leave without being given something to eat. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities including Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary President. She also served in the stake relief society presidency. At eleven years old she was called to be the primary organist and continued to serve as an organist for more than 70 years. She loved the church and that is how she lived her life.
Fern is survived by her sons Dee Sabey and Edd (Marie) Sabey and her daughters Yvonne Thompson and Beth Mankin, 12 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 33 great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, brothers Ray and LaVerl Graham; sisters (Phyllis Davis, Mildred Sabey, Myrth Conder, Iva Dell Mecham Sinkenson; sons in law Kenneth Mankin and Gerald Thompson; daughters in law Pat Sabey and Ann Sabey and one great granddaughter, Kesley Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wallsburg LDS Chapel, 494 W. Main Canyon RD, Wallsburg, UT. Viewings will be held Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the services at the Church. Interment will follow the services in the Wallsburg Cemetery.
