Erminia Margaret Mcdermott

Erminia Margaret DeLosa McDermott, 88, passed away February 14, 2017 in Heber City, UT surrounded by her family. She was born August 25, 1928 in the village of Mineola, Nassau County, Long Island, NY to Candido and Anna Halket DeLosa. She spent her early years in Long Island, NY and later moved with her family to Mansfield, PA.

Erminia married Samuel Harold McDermott February 4, 1950 in Mansfield, PA. They spent 41 years together before Sam’s death in April 18, 1991. She is survived by her two children, Peter (Beverley) McDermott and Gail (Phil) Cowan and 4 grandchildren, Amanda Cowan, Philip Cowan, Jeff McDermott and Collin McDermott, a brother, Peter (Peggy) DeLosa as well as 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, 2 brothers, Andrew and David and sister Agnes.

Erminia’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at The Abbington, especially those in Memory Care. Also a thank you to Daylene Wright of Encompass Hospice and their entire staff for their time and attention to our mother for the last several months of her life.
