Elizabeth D. Mccormack

Elizabeth Donaldson Paterson McCormack was born on June 10, 1923 in Edinburgh
Scotland to Margaret Donaldson and Robert Halliday Paterson. She passed away at her
home in Sandy, Utah on August 2, 2018 at the age of 95. Oldest of two children, she
was educated at Shawcross College for Girls, a boarding school in Sale, England,
earned a scholarship to Harriot Watt College in Edinburgh and later became a chemist.
She married her sweetheart Archie McNeill McCormack on June 20, 1944 in Edinburgh.
They were later sealed in the London, England Temple on March 10, 1962. They had
seven children and enjoyed 74 years of marriage. Elizabeth was a devoted wife and
mother who loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a woman of great faith, devoted member of the LDS Church and found great
joy in serving in her various callings. She loved to read, was an amazing poet and was
blessed with many great friends all over the world. The family is thankful for the
wonderful friends, neighbors and the loving care she received from Envision Home
Health and Hospice.

She is survived by her children Keith (Betty), Kenneth, Ray (Diana), Craig, Lindsay
Scott (Josh). 12 grandchildren, Lisa, Neil, Sharon, Louise, Ian, Stuart, Mark, Brett,
Kevin, Jillyn, Jordan, Jace, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Archie M. McCormack, her parents and sister
Margaret Glennie, daughter Sandra and Son Ross “Shane”.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Mt. Jordan 7th
Ward, 235 East Sego Lily (9800 South) Sandy. Friends and family may visit Saturday
prior to the service at the church from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Interment, Crescent Cemetery
Sandy Utah.
