Dorane E.Taylor, lovingly referred to as “Gran” was born in Remus, Michigan on January 15,1932. She passed away on May 18, 2018.
Dorane married Al Taylor July 21, 1969 in the state of Washington. They later settled in Coalville, Utah where they made a home and shared the rest of their lives together. Dorane had a successful working career supporting several companies as an office manager, eventually retiring from The Border Station Mountain Fuel Resources. Upon retirement she became a favored caretaker of her grandchildren where she found her greatest joy. Dorane spent many hours sharing her talents of tole painting and crocheting with those around her. She was seen many times enjoying a good book.
Dorane was proceeded in death by her loving husband Al Taylor, parents; George and Vera Carpenter, sisters; Dorla Gordon, Allegra Sampson and one brother Oramel Carpenter. Dorane is survived by three daughters; Sheri (Dave) Anstine, Lori Taylor (Dave Albryght), and Elsie (Blaine) Ercanbrack. Siblings; Gary Carpenter, Gaynel Farrow, Sue Schock and Courtland Carpenter. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Clint (Cherish) Ercanbrack, Braeden (Marissa) Louder, Jordan (Sean) White, Jennifer (Justin) Bagnell, Dylan Ercanbrack, Aleigh Ercanbrack, Harleigh Ercanbrack and 6 great grandchildren; Will, Wyatt, Brooklyn, Cullen, Emerson and Jaxx. She is also survived by several special neices and nephews.
The family expresses their warmest gratitude to all those who called, visited, sent cards and brought meals and for the kind and loving care provided by Symbii Home Health and Hospice, especially Melanie Bosworth. The kindness shown to her by The Family Tree Assisted and Independent Living in Morgan, Utah, where she currently resided, is greatly appreciated. A special thanks to Kathy Stephens, Kathy Rydman and cherished granddaughter Aleigh for their compassionate service in her times of need.
Graveside services honoring “Gran” will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. for close family and friends at Coalville Cemetery. A visitation prior to services will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Coalville LDS Stake Center located at 40 North Main Street, Coalville, Utah.
