Don G. Kendall

Don passed away at home on May 22, 2022, encircled by his loving family. He was born in Daniels, Utah, on August 29, 1933, to George and Sarah Kendall. He married Phyllis Jeffs on September 23, 1953. They had a great ride along with their five children spending time together camping, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling across the West. Don was an avid outdoorsman and always enjoyed being outdoors.
Don was drafted into the US Army in 1954 and served in South Korea. He received an honorable discharge in 1956.
Don worked hard to provide a wonderful home with his career as a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic. He could solve any problem. His dedication to the trade made him the top in his field. He was a service manager at Century Equipment for many years, training many mechanics over the years. He retired in 1996.
He lived in Cottonwood Heights but moved back to the Heber Valley that he loved in 1994. Don was always there for his family, and quietly there for all who needed his help.
Don is survived by his wife Phyllis, his five children Jeffrey (Rina) Kendall, Lynn (Carolyn) Kendall, Karen (Vance) Kohler, Marie (Ron) Moosman, and Paul (Julie) Kendall. He survived by his Brother Roy (Kathy) Kendall. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Sarah Kendall, his sister Lois Ann Broadhead and grandchildren Kevin Kendall and Scott Buchanan. Don leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Brian Lofgren and to Intermountain Homecare & Hospice. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2022, from 6-8 PM, and again on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM with a funeral service to follow at the Heber 6th Ward, 1365 East Center Street, Heber City, Utah 84032. Interment will follow at the Heber City Cemetery.
