Dean Davis

Dean Davis returned home to his loving heavenly father at the age of 78 on August 10, 2026. Dean was born on February 16, 1948 to Edgar and Viola Davis Dean married the love of his life Carol R Davis on May 28, 1994 in Heber City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Provo, Utah temple. 

Dean graduated from Grantsville High School and soon after moved to Heber City, where he started working on a dairy farm. He worked there for many years and enjoyed every moment of it. He later started working at Lucas Aerospace in Park City, Utah, followed by employment with the LDS church and Wasatch County School District, where he finally retired. Dean was a very hard worker and and he was loved by the community and adored by all of his coworkers. When Dean wasn’t working, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his sweetheart. They loved taking drives around the valley and driving up into Kamas to see the buffalo and all the other animals that they would pass along the way. Dean loved spending time in Wyoming and Montana it was his dream to one day live in Montana. Dean enjoyed working in his yard and took great pride in having a beautiful yard. 

Dean is survived by his wife, Carol Davis; daughters, Sarah (William) Steele of American Fork, Utah, and Rachel (Justin) Cummings of Woodland, Utah; as well as eight grandsons; one great-grandson; his sisters, Carolyn Carlson of Iowa, and Vickie Johnson of Grantsville; his brothers, Gary Davis of Woods Cross, Utah, and Rick Davis of Tooele, Utah. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Viola Davis; and his brother, Ray Davis; as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at 11 AM, with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. There will also be a viewing on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 6 PM until 8 PM. Both the viewing and the service will take place at the LDS Church located at 1365 East Center St., Heber City, Utah. Interment will take place at the Heber City Cemetery
