David Harold Wright passed away on Thursday, October 10th at his home in Heber City. He was 71 years old. He was proceeded in death by his son, Kole Wright, and by his parents, Eldon and Blanche Wright.
David’s legacy is made obvious by his many, many friends. To know him was to love him. His life was not easy, but he found humor in so many everyday things. He found beauty in the world around him; be it something he was building, or on the banks of the river fishing, or hiking around the hills hunting for deer, or working his dogs through a patch of cattails to roust a few pheasants. David was in touch with the inner workings of his soul. He was comfortable with himself and that was contagious. People loved being with him because of his ability to share joy and inner peace.
David loved his boys, loved his family, and loved showing them how to lean forward with happiness and commitment, compassion and hope. Lessons learned from David were from examples, not lectures. He lived his life from his heart with mirth. He will be sorely missed. Go rest high on that mountain, David, you have earned it.
