David McGuire, 68, passed away peacefully in his home on May 16, 2022 of natural causes.
David graduated from Wasatch High School, and lived his life in Heber, Utah. He was a quiet person who liked his privacy. He was generous to a fault and would be the first in line to provide whatever help he could to friends and family. He had a kind heart. Those who knew him will remember his kindness. He never said a harsh or unkind thing about or to anyone, and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. He was honest beyond reproach.
In his younger years, David was curious about everything; he wanted to know how electronic things worked, and would take apart small appliances, kitchen gadgets, or anything that had moving parts, to figure out how they were made and put together. By doing this, he could figure out how to do or make almost anything. He played the guitar and drums through his high school years. His later years brought personal struggles for him which he figured out how to cope with in his own way.
David inherited our father’s hands and his technical brain. They could both dismantle anything mechanical and reconstruct it in working order. He also had an artist’s talent when it came to carpentry and finish work. He could solve design problems in his head and execute them with lightning speed. He was a master craftsman and builder, working as a remodel carpenter for most of his adult life, and built beautiful homes for the people he worked for.
David is survived by his 5 siblings, Stanley, Jeanne, Georgia, Brent and Louise (Corey). He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwin & Ruth McGuire
A graveside service and internment will be held Saturday, May 21st at 11:00am at the Heber City Cemetery.
