David Matthew Corbett

December 28, 1982 — April 12, 2025

David Matthew Corbett, age 42, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, April 12, 2025 from complications of colon cancer. Born on December 28, 1982 at the Heber Hospital, he was welcomed home by his excited two year old sister and close family members.

David grew up in his hometown of Midway. A devoted son, brother and friend, he brought warmth, infectious laughter and kindness to those who knew him. He was known for his generous spirit, quirky sense of humor and unwavering support for those he cared about.

He worked hard and was a loyal employee and treated his customers with respect and the attention and care they grew to depend on.

He is survived by his mother, Susan Johnson Corbett; his sister, Sara Noelle Johnson; uncles, Ross Johnson and Mark Johnson; aunts Mary Coil, Sandra Pugh and Rebecca Johnson; his sweetheart and best friend Destinee Heckert; also many friends, cousins and extended family, all who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Corbett; his grandparents Max and Lila Mae Johnson; uncles, Emory Johnson and Tim Johnson; and aunts Julie Swainston and Linda Johnson.

Please join us for a time of remembrance to honor the life of David with an opportunity for reflection and shared memories and a quiet tribute to him at an urn viewing and open house visitation on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Heber Valley Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City, Utah.
