Clara Joan Smith

Clara Joan Murray Smith, age 80, died peacefully on February 12, 2018. Joan was born on May 20, 1937, In Midway, UT to Homer Fisher Murray and Stella Provost Murray.

On October 24, 1957, Joan married Duane Carlile Smith. They were later sealed in the Provo temple on May 7, 2010. They lived in Heber where they raised four children. Joan loved spending time with her family, and was very creative with many crafts and projects. She was very giving and thoughtful, always making sure everyone was taken care of.

Joan is survived by her children: Deanne, Linda, Doug (Stephanie), and Karen (Tim); one sister, Debbie (Stan). She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Duane; parents, Homer and Stella Murray; brother, William Murray; son-in-law, Scott Braun, and 2 grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Heber Stake Center on Friday, February 16th at 11 am, with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am.

The family would like to thank all of the kind friends who took such great care of Joan, and the staff at Orchard Park Care Center.
