Our dear loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Clara Price Holmes, 93, passed away on June 10, 2015 in Heber City, Utah. She was born on January 7, 1922 to Heber Frederick Price and Ruby Leona Bagley Price on the family farm in Charleston, Utah. Clara attended schools in Charleston and Heber City, graduating from Wasatch High School in 1940. She married George Holmes on November 28, 1941. They raised their family on a dairy farm east of Heber City. Her greatest joy was her family. She taught us how to love by the way she lived every day of her life. She was also an excellent cookie baker, seamstress and quilter, winning many awards in the county fair for her quilts. Clara was a life-long member of the LDS church and served in many callings and was an active member of the community serving in the PTA, Utah Dairy Wives Board and DUP. She is survived by her children, George Price, Heber City, Utah; Jane Warner, Price, Utah; Susan (Glenn) Carroll; Bountiful, Utah; Glen (Julie) Heber City, Utah; and also former daughter-in-law, Patsy Holmes Schrader, Heber City, Utah; as well as 17 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Inez Horner, Edna Bird, Leona (Mark) Barnard, Louise Wilding and sister-in-law Veon Price. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; brothers J Fred and Russell Price; sister Verna Huffaker and brothers-in-law Wilburn Huffaker, Don Horner, Raymond Bird, and Robert Wilding, son-in-law Sterling Jay Warner, and great-granddaughter, Kate Austyn Sharp. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11 am at the Cobblestone Chapel, 1661 East 980 South Heber City, Utah with a viewing Monday, June 15, 2015 from 6-8 pm, also at the church and a viewing prior to the services on June 16 from 9:30-10:30.
