Charles Wesley “Encie” Davidson passed away on April 2, 2017, in his Heber City home at 80 years old. Encie was born on July 28, 1936 in Visalia, California to parents Howard and Jeanne and was raised by Andy and Jeanne Allison.
Encie spent the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army in Germany and returned and settled in Heber City. While married to Connie Sabey (later divorced) they had two sons Zane Wesley Davidson and Mitch A. Davidson. And then met the late Darlene Marsh.
Encie was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing, and driving around in his jeep. In his younger years, you would often find him up in the hills with his jeep and sheep camp searching for arrowheads. If not in the hills you would find him in his shop tinkering with his old motors or whittling chains or making birdhouse sheep camps. Every Saturday was spent with his son Wes getting Costco samples in Orem and eating at In n’ Out Burger, where they were known by name. He was well loved by many and had lots of friends and almost every day made his morning rounds getting coffee and gossiping with his friends. If you knew Encie you could honestly say he is one of a kind and will be missed by the community.
He was survived by son Zane Wes (Kim) Davidson, Robert Marsh, Linda Broadhead, David Marsh and Ricky Marsh; his 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. His siblings Howard “Chick” Davidson, Richard “Dee” (Terry) Allison, and Sue Allison. He is preceded by his son Mitch A. Davidson and one grandson. His parents, siblings Daniel “Tweak” Davidson, Frank Allison, and Tunney Lindsey.
