Chad David Larson was born the sixth of nine children on February 4th 1961 in Murray, Utah, to Larry and Rosemary Larson, and died February 6th, 2024 in Park City, Utah.
Chad spent most of his childhood in the Salt Lake Valley with his parents and siblings riding motorcycles and dune buggies all over the hills before the family moved to Heber, Utah in 1975, where he stayed until his death. He attended Wasatch High School and graduated in 1979, after which he went to work on the oil fields with his brothers Lane and Lance.
Chad married Rosselle Savage on July 14th 1984 and together they brought their two sons and greatest joys into the world, Zackery Ray in 1987 and Michael Quaid in 1992. Chad’s biggest pride in life was raising his boys and teaching them everything he knew about baseball, football, hunting, and fishing. To say he was a devoted, patient, and loving father would be an understatement.
In 2015, Chad happily stepped into the role of grandpa, and by 2019 he had three grandkids that he adored and took every opportunity to spoil. He loved every second he spent with them, whether it was playing baseball, having water gun fights, video game battles, or playing barbies and baby dolls.
Throughout his life, Chad had many hobbies and favorite pastimes, including coaching and umping baseball, hunting, fishing, running his dogs, cooking, and playing Santa Claus at the family Christmas parties. He has always been described as so much fun, a great friend, a hard worker, caring, and generous.
In 2019, Chad fought and beat cancer and gave his family almost 5 more years to cherish with him. He was so deeply loved and will be so terribly missed.
Chad is preceded in death by his parents Larry and Rosemary Larson; and the mother of his beloved boys, Rossi Savage. He is survived by his son Zack and his fiancé Makayla, son Quaid and daughter-in-law Kaitlin; grandkids Rowan (10), Hayes (6), and Cora (4); his siblings Terry (Gaye Ann) Larson, Steve (Valayne) Larson, Cheri (Dave) Brooks, Brad (Cathy) Larson, Lane (Toni) Larson, Lance (Ally) Larson, Brooke (Denise) Larson, and Lori (Kerry) Howell); all of his nieces and nephews; and his favorite hunting dogs that he lovingly referred to as his best friends.
