Catheryn Rae Christensen Saxton, 79, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on September 27th, 2023.
Born as Catheryn Rae Christensen on October 21st, 1943, the first of 5 children, to Harold and Dorthy Christensen in Heber City, Utah. She attended school in Heber, graduating from Wasatch High in 1961.
In 1960 she met Philip Richard Saxton II, then in 1962 she was married and embraced the challenges of becoming a military wife, going on to have 3 children: Richard, Linda, and Victor. In her later life Philip and she would go on to adopt their great granddaughter, Katie, and raise her as their own to adulthood.
After retiring, she spent her time with her family every chance she got, planning trips, cruises, and family reunions. Spending time with her family was important to her. A family card game of Shanghai was sure to break out at any moment. She was an avid reader, devouring books, not only after she retired, but throughout her life. She loved crocheting and continued her life long tradition of making baby blankets for new arrivals to the family. Catheryn was a loving and dedicated woman who cherished her family above all else.
She is survived by her Husband: Philip R. Saxton II; her Son: Richard R. Saxton (Dodie); her Daughters: Linda N. Saxton (Jon Paul), and Katie N. Saxton; her Sister: Lila Mae Christensen Thompson (Kelly); her Grandchildren: Amanda Gonzales (Ben), Philip R. Saxton III (Courtney), Danielle Morrow (Ben), Melanie Graves, Mikel Saxton, Chaske Johnson (Julie), Kameron Johnson, and Dylan Johnson ... and 15 Great Grandchildren.
