Carol Lee Brandt Mair

November 14, 1949 — June 27, 2022

Carol Lee Brandt Mair of Heber City passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 27, 2022. Carol was born on November 14, 1949, to John and Lucy Brandt. She married her sweetheart, Darrell Mair Jr., on January 16, 1970. They made their home in Heber City where they raised their five children. The family was later sealed in the Provo Utah Temple in 1986. Carol was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She enjoyed attending church each week and serving those around her with love and dedication. Carol had a love for life that was evident by her contagious laugh. She was often the instigator of many water fights as she was known as the life of the party. Carol loved to have a great time and make lasting memories. She was a hard worker and often held two jobs allowing her children to participate in sports, missions, and other activities. She loved music and hummed wherever she went. Mom loved to play the piano, and we loved to listen, but MS made it difficult for her to continue this over time. Carol was always thinking of others and was very giving. She loved to go shopping at Walmart where she would go down each aisle finding people to visit with. Oftentimes she would load her cart with blankets and other trinkets, so they were available to give to her grandchildren and friends when they visited. While cleaning her room, we found a closet full of new blankets ready for visitors. This is just one example of the love Carol had for others. Mom's family was her greatest joy. We will dearly miss her sweet smile, contagious laugh, and cheerful humming. As her children, we have been grateful for the opportunity to serve her as her health has declined. We are comforted in knowing that she is reunited with our dad, and several family members who have passed on.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Mair Jr., parents John and Lucy Brandt, mother-in-law June Mair, and many other loved ones. Carol is survived by her five children Jason (Sarah) Mair of Heber City, Zenda (Chad) Wall of Fruitland, Bodey (Tammy) Mair of Heber City, Aaron (Carrie) Mair of Honolulu Hawaii, Andrea (George) Ward of Midway. She is also survived by her siblings Charles (Kathy) Brandt, Bob (LuAnne) Brandt, Laurell (Mike) Gines, Georgia Brandise and sisters-in-law Leanna (Joe) Mair, and Rose Chatwin. We would like to thank Lisa Nelson and the staff at Spring Gardens, and Tiffany Coleman with Tender Care, for the wonderful care they have given our mother. We are truly so grateful.
