Carol Young Haggerty

Carol Young Haggerty of Duchesne passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Council Bluffs, Iowa on December 12, 2019.

Carol was born June 29, 1936 in Provo, Utah to Ralph and Florence Christensen Young.

Carol married Lewis Mecham. They had 5 children, they later divorced. She met her soulmate and companion Van Taylor.

Carol is survived by her sister Joyce Larsen of Wallsburg. Her children Brenda Behrens (Council Bluffs, Iowa), Ralph Mecham (Manila, Utah), Dixie Lefler (Ron) (Tabiona, Utah), Jeff Mecham (Duchesne, Utah), 9 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, and 15 Great Great-Grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her soulmate Van Taylor, son Gaylen Mecham, daughter-in-law Linda Mecham, her siblings and parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday December 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Wallsburg LDS Chapel. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM (Wallsburg LDS Chapel) prior to services. Interment will be at the Wallsburg City Cemetery.
