Carma Sue Dunbar Isaac, youngest daughter of Olin P. Dunbar and Florence Marie Ross Dunbar, was born October 25, 1944 in Wauseon, Ohio. She passed away suddenly, but peacefully on September 8, 2026 in Midway, Utah.

Carma is survived by her son, David Michael Isaac; her daughter, Stephanie Isaac Neal; her son-in-law, Christopher Neal; her sister, Carol Alipour-Paz; and her two grandsons, Carter and Coleman Neal.

Carma graduated as valedictorian of her high school class and received her B.A. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She raised her children in Great Falls, Virginia, a suburb just outside Washington, D.C., while her then-husband, William Michael Isaac, served under Presidents Carter and Reagan as Chairman of the FDIC - Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

She went on to earn her master's in education in Virginia, as well as her real estate license, becoming a top-producing agent in Great Falls.

Known for her quick wit and sharp intellect, Carma was famous among family and friends for asking questions she already knew the answers to. She was an avid pickleball and tennis player, and was always up for any sort of game or competition. She was a friend to everyone she met, had an insatiable curiosity about the world and everyone in it, and loved to travel, cook, garden, and read.

Carma moved to Midway, Utah in 2009 to be closer to her daughter's family and devoted the last twenty years to being an amazing grandmother. She built many friendships, stayed active in her neighborhood and community, and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

A private graveside service and burial will take place at Wauseon Union Cemetery in Ohio, and a "Celebration of Life" gathering will be held in Midway, Utah at a later date.

Carma was a breast cancer survivor, and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial donations be made in Carma's memory to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Gifts can be made online at
