Carl John Workman

Carl J. Workman passed on September 19, 2022 in Bountiful, Utah at the wonderful age of 98. He was born on August 23, 1924 in Park City, Utah to William Roy Workman and Anna Dorthy Jenson. Carl married Wanda “Joyce” Shields on May 31, 1947 and they later divorced.
Carl served in the Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting and just being in the mountains. His greatest joy was family gatherings. He was happy to have friends drop by for a visit. He was always ready to help anyone. He was an amazing father and grandfather and a great example to us. He taught us the value of hard work and compassion and the joy of life.
He is survived by his sister Marilyn Larson of Beaverton, Oregon; Son, Carl “Blair” (Karla) Workman of Woods Cross, Utah; Daughters Diane Bartlett of Saratoga Springs, Utah and Jillene Sewell of West Valley City, Utah. 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph “Bud” Workman, Wayne Workman; Sisters Beatrice McKnight, Ethel Sorenson, Helen Johnson and Beth Durrant. Daughters Barbara Workman, Michelle Kilfoyle, Brenda Kirk; Granddaughters Cammie Leedom and Kimberly Kirk and Grandson Jared Workman.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Heber Valley Funeral Home located at 288 N. Main Street in Heber City. Friends and Family may call prior to the service from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.
Interment will be at the Park City Cemetery located at 1300 Kearns Blvd in Park City, Utah 84060.
