Brent Lindon Neerings died at home in Heber City, on February 3, 2026. He was born on July 27, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Abraham Neerings and Phoebe LaWana Betts.
Brent graduated from Wasatch High School and has lifelong friends from that time. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Florida Mission which took in parts of Alabama and Georgia. He developed a deep love for the South during this time of service.
Brent attended Utah Technical College in Provo, Utah, getting a degree in Electrical Automation. He eventually went to work at Allied Chemical in Wyoming for 20 years.
Brent was a devoted son to his parents. He lived with them until the time of their passing.
He liked Arabian horses and enjoyed riding his horse, Barkley. He had many pet dogs over the years and cared deeply about them. Brent has a collection of several model trucks. He loved Peterbilt's! He was happy to always have a pickup truck to drive.
Brent loved visiting with people; he could talk your leg off and maybe your arm too. He was PROUD to be an American and would express his political opinions often.
For Brent, one of the best times of his life was spent living in Mesquite, NV from 2021-2024. He was SO happy there!
Surviving Brent is his brother, Alan (Debbie) of Midway; 5 nephews and their spouses; one niece; 13 great-nephews; and 7great-nieces. All of whom he loved to give Christmas presents and remembered all their birth dates. He took many pictures of all these family members at all family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his parents Abraham Neerings and Phoebe LaWana Betts Neerings.
