Bonnie Shepherd Jepperson

March 18, 1939 — July 1, 2021

Our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Bonnie Shepherd Jepperson, passed away at her home on July 1, 2021.

Bonnie was born on March 18, 1939, in Provo Bench (Orem), Utah to Arthur Lewis and Vera Hone Shepherd. She had seven brothers and one sister. In her middle school years, the horse of her dreams delivered a paper to her front door. As it turns out the rider was quite charming himself. She married her paperboy Gordon Ford Jepperson, on April 17, 1956. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, on March 24, 1976.

One of her greatest accomplishments was being a mother of fifteen children. She shared many loves and talents with all around her from riding horses, making candies, baking cinnamon rolls, and canning from her garden. She found joy in making quilts, pillowcases, crocheting, and making dolls that she would give to friends and family. She enjoyed being outside caring for her animals, and always talked about how she missed her favorite horse Rebel and longed for one last ride.

Bonnie had a passion for service, and a love of genealogy. Her alongside her honey Gordon, had the opportunity to serve two missions in Nauvoo, Illinois. There she learned of her talent in plays, taught herself piano and the accordion. She was always one to look on the bright side of things and appreciate all that God had blessed her with. Bonnie was a friend to all those that she met and welcomed everyone into her home.

She was survived by her husband Gordon, siblings Charles Morris Shepherd, Gary Lewis Shepherd, Sandra Critchfield, Earl Lee Shepherd, and children Cindy (Stuart) Tanner, Julie (Jose) Higuera, Gordy Jepperson, Arthur Jepperson, Bonnie (Bill) Richins, Larry (Melinda) Jepperson, Jeff (Deana) Jepperson, Delbert (Melanie) Jepperson, Angie (Jeff) Lamb, Teena Jepperson, Jason (Janet) Jepperson, Justin (Kim) Jepperson, Lucille (Rusty) O’Driscoll, Lisa (Jeremy) Nelson, Lance (Meagan) Jepperson, and 74 grandchildren, and 117 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arthur Ray Shepherd, Wayne Dee Shepherd, and Glen Hone Shepherd. Grandson Trae Kent Jepperson, and Great Grandson Bridger Clint Ercanbrack.

Thank you, Tender Care, and especially, Tiffany, Brittany, Kenedee and Dalton for all the loving care you gave to mom. You brightened her day.
