Bob Carl Azlin was born March 19,1934 in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma. He was the son of Carl and Marie Azlin. He passed away on October 19, 2021 in Provo, Utah, due to complications from a stroke.
Bob married Glenna Horrocks on August 4, 1954. He is the father of three daughters.
Bob moved to the Bay Area of California when he was eight years old. He developed a love for fishing and continued returning to the Bay area for fishing trips throughout his life. Bob also loved hunting.
Bob served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. His last assignment was at Andrews Air Force Base. He received an appointment to the 89th CAM squadron where he was the crew chief on a Convair 580. The airplane was used by President Richard Nixon and other Dignitaries when their trips required a plane that could land on a short runway.
Bob proudly served his country in Vietnam and Korea.
Bob was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and learned to love the Gospel. He served a mission with his wife in Georgia and South Carolina. He served in many church positions including a counselor to two Bishops. He served as Executive secretary for nine years for three Bishops. His favorite calling was as a Primary teacher to the four year olds.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, his daughters Kathy Moulton (Kent), Carolyn Jordan (Ken), and Connie Mortensen (Gary). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and his brother-in-law Thomas Horrocks (Renee).
Services will be held in the Heber 8th Ward, located at 1205 West 650 South. The viewing will be held on Monday, October 25 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Ward house followed by Funeral services at 11:00 a.m.
Burial immediately following at Heber Valley Cemetery.
