It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce on the morning of May 28th our beloved dad, grandpa, and friend, Bill Anderson passed away. Bill was born on August 6th, 1951 in Heber City to Jack and Bette Anderson and he was the second of five children. Bill graduated from Wasatch High School in 1970. He spent his early years working with his dad for their family logging business. When the family business closed, he worked for KieWit for a while before he found the job he would retire from, Wasatch County Public Works, where he worked for 22 wonderful years. Bill was married in 1971, where he welcomed his two children Jason and Angela.
Bill was as strong as an “Ox” and loved his family dearly. Bill's first love was work and he couldn't stand sitting around. He was always working on something, whether that be a big project or something small and trivial. Bill loved spending his free time in his shop working on anything with a motor. Proving this by rebuilding and remodeling vehicles of all kinds from the ground up and doing every bit of work himself until it was perfected to his own standards. After he retired you could find him in his shop, or sitting out in his lawn chair enjoying the weather. Bill loved keeping in touch with those he cared about via Facebook. Many could look forward to his "Good Morning" and "Good Night" messages, and we'll sure miss his pokes. Bill was always cracking jokes and doing just about anything he could to put a smile on your face.
He is survived by his son Jason Anderson and his daughter Angela Smith; his grandchildren Shaylee, Jacie, Shelby, Cole, Haydon, and Mckinley; his many children that he raised in his shop as well as his siblings Elaine and Eric. He is preceded in death by both his parents, his brothers Jack Jr. and Alex, as well as his daughter in law Michele. Bill was a strong and kind soul who will be missed by many. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
