Beva Arlene Provost Wright, age 91, died on July 17, 2022, in Morgan, Utah. She was born on January 5, 1931 in Midway, Utah, to David Erron Provost and Vera Cummings Provost. Beva married her eternal sweetheart, Dan L. Wright, on October 29, 1948, and was sealed to him April 15, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Their marriage was blessed with five children, four of whom are still living. The two Heber Valley natives lived on their dairy farm in Charleston until Dan’s retirement from coaching at Wasatch High School. In 1989, they “retired” to a larger dairy farm in Payson, Utah, and for the last 18 months, Beva lived in Morgan, Utah, closer to family.
Beva loved to sew, once winning the Utah Make-It-With Wool contest. She shared her talents as a seamstress by keeping her daughters well dressed and teaching her skills to them and classes of 4-H. She was known as the hardest worker in Heber Valley. She ran their dairy farm while Dan attended BYU and taught and coached at Wasatch. She had her hair styled every Friday, so she looked nice for Dan - because Beva never missed a game or anything else her husband or children were doing.
She spent her life working alongside her husband, teaching her children about the value of hard work and through her example, her love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. Mom did not talk about the gospel much, but taught by example through her work in the community, the school and her church, serving in many different positions for each.
Beva is survived by 4 children, Sherry (Norman) Davis, Gilbert, Arizona, Christine (Ronnie) Whitear, Peterson, Utah, William D. (Cindy) Wright, Lewiston, Utah, Cathy (Bruce) Williams, Heber City, Utah, 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild arriving in 3 weeks.
Beva was the last of her generation on both sides of her family, being preceded in death by her husband, Dan, and their infant daughter Susan.
Her funeral services will be Friday, July 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Charleston Ward chapel, with a viewing that morning, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Heber City Cemetery.
