Betty Jo Tallon
October 2, 1931 — August 18, 2018
Our loving mother, Betty Jo Tallon, 86, passed away peacefully Aug. 18, 2018. Born on Oct. 2, 1931 in Asheville, NC to George and Myrtle Rogers. A mother of 4, which was her sole purpose in life, loving her children.
As a youth at Moorehead HS she was an all-state basketball player along with many other activities. She then attended UNC. Betty was an avid golfer and love watching sports, also being the loudest mom cheering in the crowd! Her other love of life was playing the piano & organ which she shared throughout her life playing for multiple churches and events. Playing Bridge was a must also. She was so good she could deal cards and bet in her sleep. No one could beat her.
Survived by Brother Clarence (Carolyn) Rogers, sons Michael (Lanica) Tallon, John Tallon, daughter Cindy (Daniel) Rogers, 4 nieces, 1 nephew, several other nieces/nephews. and also 6 Grandchildren 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death ay a daughter Deborah Treager and her parents.
Our family thanks, with all our hearts, staffs at Elk Meadows, Sante Assisted Living, Applegate Hospice, Probst Family Funeral Home and many friends for all your love and support. Until we meet again Mom.
