Betty M Cummings

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Betty (Muir) Cummings received her wings and graduated from this world on November 1, 2016. Betty was born March 8, 1929 to William and Edna Muir in Heber City, Utah. She was a Twin and had 7 other siblings. Betty married the love of her life December 24, 1946. They were married 67 years before his death Aug 26, 2014.

Betty and Rex loved the outdoors, Fishing, Camping, Hunting, exploring new places and Rock Hounding. Betty was a Scout Leader for years. She was a wonderful Seamstress and Master in Crocheting. She made many beautiful Afghans, Doilies, and Barbie Doll clothes for all the kids and grandkids. Betty loved spending time in the flower gardens and yard. Betty and Rex loved to dance and enjoyed anytime or occasion they could do so. Betty was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2014 and though it robbed her of her fond memories, it never took her fighting Spirit.

Survived by: children; son Chris D Cummings (Sheri), daughter Syndi Cummings-Parker (Dave), daughter Bonnie Sessions (Gary); Brother Ted Muir (Linda), Sister Norma Remund (Lloyd), brother-in law Blaine Webb, sister-in law Nelda Muir, sister-in law Deanna Cummings, sister-in law June Muir; 12 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by parents; Bill and Edna Muir, mother and father in-law Rex and Vera Cummings, her siblings Marion Harp, Juanita Webb, Jean Winnie, Neil Muir and her Twin Bob Muir, brothers-in law Ray Cummings and Kayle Cummings and sister-in law Wanda Cummings.

Funeral services will be held at the Daniels LDS Chapel, 2285 S. Daniels Rd., Heber City, Utah, on Monday, November 7, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. There will be viewing for family and friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services.
