Ben Paul Young

Ben Paul Young, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, graduated from this earth life on July 19, 2023. He died in the home that he built over 53 years ago in Wallsburg, Utah. He was born January 8, 1937, to John Young and Harriet Florence Olsen in Wallsburg.

He graduated from Wasatch High School in 1956 and the Central Utah Vocational School (UVU) for auto mechanics in 1959.

He went to the California Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a faithful member of the church his entire life.

He met the love of his life, Evva Lee Edwards through his sisters, Nina and Laura, who worked with her. They were married in the Salt Lake temple on May 31, 1967. They are the parents of six children.

He worked at Geneva for 22 years. He was a custodian for the Wasatch School District for 9 years. He was the water master for 30 years.

He was happiest when he was working on the farm with his brothers, working on cars, and spending time and serving his wife, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and community. His love language was service.

He is now spending time with his older brother and best friend, Donald, his parents John and Florence Young, two sisters Leone and Nina and other family members, who preceded him in leaving this earth life.

He is leaving behind his wife of 56 years, Evva Lee, his children Nancy (David); Vicki, Rex (Charity), Dixie (M Ryan), Dale, and Paul (Bonnie), 16 grandchildren and sisters and brothers; Marie, Milton, Walter (Gayle), Laura (Dale), and Vera (Jim).

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 9:00am to 10:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 494 W Main Canyon Rd, Wallsburg, UT 84082. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am. Interment will be at the Wallsburg Cemetery.
