Belva Maxine Snyder was born in Heber City, Utah on June 14, 1939, to Ernest and Belva Thompson. She was the fifth child of four boys and three girls.
Maxine’s favorite hobbies were quilting, sewing, crocheting, camping, and shopping. She enjoyed travelling and loved going on cruises to Hawaii and Alaska. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. Maxine was loved by many because of her charismatic personality.
Maxine’s first job was working at the Skyline in Parleys Canyon. She also worked at the Pea Factory, Burdett’s Apparel, Chicks Café, Doves Supermarket, The Hub, and Deer Valley Lodging. Maxine loved gardening; she loved working at a nursery where she transplanted marigold seedling to single pots to grow into mature plants, which were to be sold in the spring.
Maxine is survived by her brother, Karl (Elise) Thompson; daughter, Debra Anderson; son, Leslie Dean (Cindy) Anderson; daughter, Julie (Nick) Givens; stepson, Kim (Mary) Snyder; and two stepdaughters, Jeanette Bonner and JoAnne (Steve) Muir.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ardean Anderson and Sherdon Snyder; her three brothers, Glendon Thompson, Merlin Thompson and Gary Thompson; her two sisters, Donna Jones and Norma Sabey; and her two grandchildren, Chance Bonner and Kamie Snyder.
Funeral services will be held on March 10, 2023, at Daniel 1st Ward at 2285 South Daniel Road. The viewing will begin at 10:30am to 12:30pm; and the funeral will begin at 1:00pm. Interment will be at the Heber City Cemetery.
