Barbara Joyce Schultz, known affectionately to all as "Sparkle," departed this world on September 18, 2025, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and joyous memories. Born on July 13, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Barbara's spirit was as vibrant as her nickname suggests. She embodied the essence of friendliness and kindness, making everyone around her feel comfortable and cherished.
Throughout her life, Barbara embraced her passion for beauty and creativity. As a beautician and proud owner of her own salon for many years, she brought joy not only through her skill but also through her genuine personality. Her outgoing nature allowed her to connect deeply with clients and friends alike, fostering lasting relationships that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.
Family was the cornerstone of Barbara's existence. Her love for her husband, Edward C. "Skip" Schultz, was palpable, and together they experienced the joys of life on their farm, where they raised horses, dogs, and guppies. Their relationship was a beautiful testament to love and companionship. To ensure she could be closer to her beloved grandchildren, Barbara made the remarkable decision to move across the country from Florida to Pennsylvania to Utah, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to family.
She is survived by her devoted children, Victoria Stauffer and Michael Schultz, and their spouses, Andy Stauffer and Elvira Schultz. Barbara took immense pride in her grandchildren, Dr. Zoe Stauffer, Zachary Stauffer, Ciahn Schultz, and Jennifer Anderson. They filled her life with purpose and joy. The light of her life extended further with her great-grandson, Josiah Anderson, a delightful reminder of the legacy she created.
Barbara cherished her sisters, Mari Roerig and Diane Cain, with whom she shared a unique bond built upon love and memories.
While Barbara has joined her beloved Skip and her parents, Bruce and Dolores Smith, along with her brothers, Timothy and Dennis Smith, in eternal rest, her spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. In her later years, she found joy in the company of her two adored dogs, Gator and Luna, who brought further comfort and companionship into her life.
Barbara Joyce Schultz's life was truly one of love, joy, and sparkle. Her indomitable spirit will forever remain etched in the memories of those she touched, inspiring everyone to embrace life with the same fervor she did. We will forever miss her incredible ability to tickle our feet and backs for hours!
