Barbara Ann Holland, of Midway, Utah, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her beloved cats, as was her heartfelt wish. She was the cherished daughter of Marjorie I. and Donald B. Holland, and sister to Robert (Theresea) Holland.
Barb was a woman who found joy in her garden— a place she tended with care and pride through every season. Her love of cats was equally defining; she was a devoted and gentle caregiver to her two feline companions, who will carry on in the loving home of her dear neighbor and friend, Liz Elias.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents and by her long-term beloved partner and cherished friend, Wayne Searle, whose memory she carried with her always.
In her final chapter, Barb was fortunate to be surrounded by extraordinary care and kindness. The family extends their deepest gratitude to Liz Elias, whose unwavering friendship and remarkable commitment made it possible for Barb to remain at home. Liz coordinated tirelessly with Enhabit Hospice and with Justin Mitchell of Cornerstone Caregiving, whose compassionate support ensured that Barb’s final days were met with dignity, comfort, and the company of her cats.
A private interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
