Arlene Burgener, age 76, passed away on February 5, 2022, in Heber City, Utah. Arlene was born on May 25, 1945, in Heber City, Utah, to Edward Henry and Lucile Cluff Burgener.
Arlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Arlene served faithfully in many callings. She was a Temple worker in the Provo Temple, served a mission in Auckland, New Zealand, and served two missions in Frankfurt, Germany.
Arlene received a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree from Utah State University. Arlene was a teacher and CTE Director in the Park City School District for 34 years and earned Teacher of the Year recognition.
Arlene loved to do Temple work, garden, read, study the scriptures, travel and make photo albums for her family.
Arlene is survived by her brother Glen Burgener, sister Joyce Julander, brother Rex (Lisa) Burgener, nephews and nieces and all of their families.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Ruth Chamberlain and Marilyn Burgener, sister-in-law Sherma Burgener, brother-in-law DeWayne Julander and brother-in-law Jack Chamberlain.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on February 16, 2022 at the Heber City East Stake Center, located at 2395 South Mill Road, Heber City, Utah. A viewing will be held on February 15, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and prior to the service on February 16, 2022 from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Masks are recommended. To stream the services, please visit:
